Deanna Minich, PhD, CN
Director, Information, Integration & Innovation

Deanna Minich, PhD, CNDeanna does it all—formulation, investigation, education, and communication. Most importantly, she leads the team of novel ingredient research and innovation and helps usher them from the conceptual stage to manufacturing, clinical testing, and eventual launch. She's played a pivotal role in helping streamline departmental coordination and communication between R & D, sales, marketing, and manufacturing to execute timely product launches.

She also heads up our team of reference librarians, who help her conduct vital safety reviews of natural ingredients and provide scientific articles for the numerous white papers and technical documents Deanna prepares for internal use. And, as if we don't give her enough to do already, she also counsels patients using functional medicine protocols at the FMRC. (We attribute her ability to calmly get it all done to the relaxation and focus abilities she's gained from practicing yoga.)

She brings a world class education in nutritional science, experience in pharmaceutical development and health-related food manufacturing, and a PhD from the Netherlands. This certified nutrition specialist is a fellow of the American College of Nutrition, and a member of both the American College of Nutrition and the American Society for Nutrition Science.

As an educator, she taught various nutrition-related courses in university settings. Today she still lectures on nutrition and healthy eating via webinars and nationwide seminars—events she always makes time for despite her numerous responsibilities.

She has published over 15 articles in numerous peer-reviewed, scientific journals, and has presented her work at several national scientific meetings. Her first book on foods for optimum health was published in 2009.
