Roger has over 25 years in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, but is perhaps best known for his role in the discovery of one of today's leading cholesterol drug therapies. He has co-authored nearly 100 peer-reviewed articles and chapters during his research, which also includes the nutritional management of cardiovascular disease issues.
He received his MS degree in nutritional biochemistry from the University of Connecticut and his PhD in nutrition from the University of California Davis. His postdoctoral fellowship was at the NIH-sponsored Specialized Center of Research in Atherosclerosis at the University of California, San Diego. He later returned to academia as an adjunct associate professor of pharmacology at the University of Michigan Medical School.
In addition to founding and leading Esperion, he's held distinguished roles at Pfizer and Warner-Lambert. He currently serves on boards at the University of Michigan and Rubicon Genomics.
